Description

Imagine yourself strolling through the lush countryside of Aquitaine, surrounded by sprawling vineyards and charming chateaus. You take a moment to inhale the bouquet of the wine in your glass, and are immediately struck by the expressive nose of ripe fruits, softened by subtle woody tones and delicate hints of violet.

As you take a sip, you're transported to a world of balanced elegance, with a medium-bodied palate that perfectly balances ripe fruit, well-formed tannins, and a refreshing finish. It's as if the wine was crafted by a skilled artisan, who took great care in blending just the right amount of Merlot and Malbec to achieve this harmonious balance.

And speaking of skilled artisans, did you know that in medieval Aquitaine, geese were highly valued as houseguards? They were called "pirons," and their shrieks were louder than modern alarm systems, ensuring that no unauthorised incursions would take place. Nearby, you can visit the reconstructed Gallo-Roman Villa of Plassac, with its famed mosaics, and the charming castle where these priceless and amusing geese still roam free.

This wine is the perfect accompaniment to a delicious meal, such as duck breast with fresh seasonal vegetables. It's a wine that not only delights the senses, but also tells a fascinating story of the rich history and culture of Aquitaine. Cheers to a memorable tasting experience!
