Description

Made from Monastrell (sometimes known as Mourvedre). It is a dark ruby colour in appearance with powerful aromas of plumy fruit, tree bark, chocolate and spice. It is fairly full in the mouth with smooth, ripe tannins and great depth of flavour. It pairs fantastically well with meats like pork or lamb.

Casa Castillo

Casa Castillo is located on the plateau of Jumilla, Spain. José Sánchez-Cerezo acquired the estate in 1941 after the civil war, and used it as a base of operations to transport and store large quantities of wood, esparto grass, and aromatic herbs that he used for trade and processing. At the same time, he began to plant and cultivate small plots of vines whose production was sold to other wineries in the area. Today it is his grandchildren: Guillermina, Julia, Marisol, and José Maria Vicente Sánchez-Cerezo, along with a great team, who run the vineyard.

Murcia

Murcia, located in southeastern Spain, is a notable wine region known for its warm climate and diverse wine offerings. It enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters, which is favourable for viticulture.
It is particularly renowned for its robust reds, including those made from Monastrell (Mourvèdre), which produce rich, full-bodied wines with intense fruit flavours and spicy notes. It also produces notable whites, such as those from the Airén and Verdejo grapes, known for their fresh, aromatic profiles and crisp acidity.
