Pask Winery

While flying above the ancient Ngaruroro riverbed in his topdressing plane, founder, Chris Pask, saw an opportunity to grow exceptional grapes. The valley's sun-kissed, light, stony soils, sheltered from the Pacific-breeze were perfect for winegrowing. In 1981, Pask planted the first vines here, founding Hawke’s Bay’s renowned Gimlett Gravels wine district. Now under the care of the Benton Family, Pask’s passion for making authentic wines to be shared and enjoyed has only grown stronger.
