Description

"Château de la Chaize in Beaujolais is a very strong candidate for the most beautiful wine Château in France."
James Suckling

A light ruby hue with violet highlights. The nose is open, revealing juicy red fruits like cherry and raspberry, with a hint of peony. The palate reveals a balanced, medium-bodied texture. The mid-palate is round and supple, with well-managed tannins, finishing with a crispness and subtle spicy notes.

This is a Fleurie to enjoy young, offering delightful harmony and a fresh, flavourful profile from its early youth.

A blend of a selection of cadastral localities in the Fleurie appellation.

Parcel-by-parcel vinification of 100% destemmed Gamay. Maceration took place over 15 days. Pumping over and racking took place, but no punching down. Maturated for 8 months in concrete tank.

"A prototypical Fleurie with a wealth of summer-flower aromas wrapped around a core of silky tannins and mineral freshness on the elegant, medium-bodied palate. Long, structured yet filigree finish. A cuvee of wines from organically grown grapes in various sites. Matured entirely in concrete tanks for eight months before bottling. Drink or hold."
