Description

Glencadam Reserva PX Single Malt Scotch Whisky is carefully crafted by our Master Distiller in small batches. From Glencadam's historic dunnage warehouses, he has carefully selected single malt matured in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak casks. The single malt in these casks has been expertly married then finished in the finest Amarone wine casks sourced from Italy.

Sweet aromas of cherry jam, marzipan, fruit nougat and pistachio bound with baking spices. A wash of red fruits, crystallised ginger and strawberry liquorice mingled with oak spices, candied peels and cacao. Layers of cappuccino, dark chocolate, Morello cherry and raspberry jam leaving a warming wood spice linger.

Glencadam

Glencadam is located in the Eastern Highlands of Scotland. The distillery opened in 1825. Since then, little has changed their award-winning Single Malt Scotch Whisky is still produced using the same traditional and handcrafted production methods as it has done for almost 200 years.
All their age statement whiskies are bottled at 46% and are neither chill filtered nor coloured to retain the whisky's natural characteristics. Unusually, Glencadam’s stills have lyne arms that run upwards at an angle of 15 degrees, this encourages significant reflux which helps to produce a single malt which is characterised by its tropical and orchard fruit flavours.

Scottish Highlands

The Highlands region of Scotland is one of the largest and most diverse whisky-producing areas, known for its broad range of Scotch whiskies with distinctive and varied flavour profiles. Covering a vast expanse of rugged terrain, from mountainous landscapes to rolling hills, the Highlands benefits from a range of climates and natural resources that influence its whisky production.
Highland whiskies are renowned for their complexity and often feature a diverse array of characteristics, including rich and full-bodied profiles, peaty smokiness, and sweet, fruity notes. The area produces everything from heavily peated, robust whiskies to lighter, more delicate expressions with hints of honey, spice, and heather. Notable areas within the Highlands, such as Speyside and the Isle of Skye, contribute their own unique influences to the region's whisky offerings.
Historically, the Highlands have been a significant whisky-producing region since the 18th century, with a strong tradition of craftsmanship and innovation. Today, Highland whiskies continue to be celebrated for their quality and variety, reflecting the rich heritage and natural diversity of this storied region.
