Description

Straw gold with a green tinge, showing white peach, nectarine, elderflower and hawthorn, then a fresh, saline palate and the bitter almond twist that marks out good Verdicchio. Fruit comes from hillside vineyards between 210 and 350 metres on clay, silt and sand. The grapes are gently pressed and fermented at controlled temperature, and the wine is matured only in stainless steel so the fruit and the character of the vintage come through undisguised.

Sartarelli

Sartarelli is one of the few Italian wineries which focuses exclusively on a single varietal production. Their motto proudly declares ‘In Verdicchio Veritas’: In Verdicchio we trust. Situated on the left of the Esino River, Sartarelli is in the heartlands of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC. A baker by trade, Ferruccio Sartarelli founded the winery in 1972. His daughter Donatella followed in his footsteps. She oversees the company alongside her husband Patrizio and two children Tommaso and Caterina.
