Made from a single plot of Merlot, Le Bon Nobel is a wonderful, contemporary red wine from the Bordeaux area of France. Le Bon Nobel is barrel fermented and matured in French oak for 16 months. Blackberry, plum, hazelnut, truffle, and cedar oak are among the characteristics that contribute to its rich and nuanced bouquet. The flavour is well-balanced and smooth, with a lengthy, gratifying finish. Decanting is advised since this opens up nicely with a little air.
'There’s a wealth of rich dark berries here and a thread of dark chocolate, as well as a spicy, cedary influence. The palate has a wealth of richness and approachable fruit flesh. Good value. Drink or hold.'
