These 40-year-old vines, facing due east, flourish freshly between 303 and 340 meters above sea level, on a hill opposite the Saint-Romain valley. The strong presence of limestone, as its name indicates, is the great characteristic of this climate. The minerality makes up the matrix of this invigorating white wine which, when you close your eyes, reminds us of the fragrances of a torrent or undergrowth after the rain. Its freshness, its elegance, its aromas of white flowers and damp stone seduce from its early youth. Let five to seven years pass and this Saint-Romain will offer you delicious aromas of grilled almonds and flint.

Today, brothers Franck and Frédérick Buisson carry the torch, nurturing around 20 hectares of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines across some of Burgundy’s most expressive climats.
