A limited edition Sauvignon produced from some of the oldest vines on this organically-run estate. The wine is dry beautifully well balanced and rounded with subtle aromas of white flowers leading on to a palate revealing citrus fruit flavours underpinned by zingy acidity. A nice stepping stone from the restrained French style with a nod to the flamboyance of the New Zealand style. Ideal companion for shellfish and indeed most seafood.
Sauvignon de Touraine from good producers like Domaine Octavie is often seen as an affordable alternative to the more illustrious, and expensive, whites of Sancerre and Pouilly Fume.
