Description

A captivating nose of red fruit, dried cherry and sweet spice, with cedar, leather and the vanilla of long ageing in American oak. The palate has the finesse of a fine Pinot Noir with the sweetness, focus and balance of classic Rioja from limestone soils. Silky, complex and extraordinarily long.

Made only in exceptional years from old vines in Briñas, Labastida and Villalba. A blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo, it spends around six years in American oak barrels made in the bodega's own cooperage, racked by hand, before further ageing in bottle.

A wine for roast lamb, game birds or a quiet evening with aged cheese.
