Description

Pale ruby in the glass with a luminous, translucent quality that hints at the light-footed style within. The nose is high-toned and deeply pretty, leading with an ethereal floral perfume that speaks directly to the sandy soils of McLaren Vale, where Grenache finds some of its most lifted and elegant expression. Red cherry, rose petal and a delicate spice note combine to create an arresting and refined aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is fresh and savoury rather than rich and jammy, with just-ripe red cherry fruit at its core and a taut, well-defined acid line that carries the wine cleanly to the finish. The tannins are fine and understated, adding shape without weight. This is Grenache at its most graceful, a world away from the overblown, sun-baked interpretations the variety can sometimes produce, and its freshness and structure make it a genuinely versatile companion at the table.

Worlds Apart Wines

Artisan wines made from the best vineyards in South Australia. The winery was founded in 2017 by winemaker Louis Schofield and partner Hannah Jeffrey with a pretty simple goal: to make beautiful, delicious wine. Grapes are sourced from a small handful of grape growing families in McLaren Vale, Eden Valley, and from Louis and Hannah's home in the lush, green, cool climate of the Adelaide Hills. The fruit is grown sustainably, with minimal or no irrigation, no herbicides or insecticides; earlier picking leads to lighter wines with lower alcohol and a feeling of freshness. Fermentation, ageing, blending, and bottling takes place in their rural off-grid winery.

South Australia

South Australia, the heart of Australian winemaking, is renowned for its diverse wine regions and exceptional quality. Home to the iconic Barossa Valley, the state produces some of the world's finest Shiraz, known for its bold, rich flavours. The cooler climate of the Adelaide Hills is perfect for elegant Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, while the Clare Valley is celebrated for its crisp, aromatic Riesling. McLaren Vale is famed for its robust Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. The diverse terroir, from coastal regions to high-altitude vineyards, allows for a wide variety of grape varieties and wine styles. South Australia remains a must-visit destination for wine lovers seeking premium, world-class wines.
