Chateau Vignelaure

Vines have been cultivated on this land for over 2,000 years. Vignelaure was built in the late 60s, under the supervision of Mr Georges Brunet. The Château name was Saint Estève but, Mr Brunet renamed the vineyard to Château Vignelaure; the vine of Laure, muse of the poet Petrarch. The Château became the pioneer of Cabernet Sauvignon in Provence. In 2007, Mette and Bengt Sundstrøm, a dynamic Scandinavian couple, fell in love with the place and bought it.

Provence

Provence, located in southeastern France, is celebrated for its picturesque landscapes and exceptional wines, particularly rosés. The Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and mild winters, is ideal for viticulture. Provence rosés, made from grape varieties such as Grenache, Cinsault, and Mourvèdre, are renowned for their pale colour, crisp acidity, and delicate flavours of red berries and citrus. The area also produces robust reds and aromatic whites. Provence’s diverse terroir, combined with traditional winemaking techniques, results in wines that reflect the beauty and richness of the region. It is a must-visit for wine enthusiasts seeking elegant and refreshing wines.
