Description

This is a vibrant and fresh Syrah. The nose is brimming with vivid aromas of black cherry, raspberry and violets. The palate is juicy with lively purity of fruit, crunchy acidity and a peppery, savoury edge to the finish.

All of the Syrah grapes were picked by hand and whole bunch fermented for ten days to accentuate the variety’s primary aromas. Inclusion of stems provided additional structure and freshness. The wine was aged in stainless steel tanks for eight months prior to bottling to retain the wine's fruit purity.

Gabrielskloof

The vision at Gabriëlskloof is to produce fine wines that reflect the complexity, richness and diversity of their unique terroir. They strive to do this in the most environmentally friendly way possible, showing respect for their region’s biodiversity.

Their soils do not allow for high yields and all the vineyards on the property have been tended to with the utmost care. All vineyard work is done by hand and sustainability takes precedence in every decision made in the vineyard.

Walker Bay

Walker Bay, situated in South Africa's Western Cape, is an esteemed wine region known for its exceptional quality and diverse wine offerings. The area benefits from a cool maritime climate due to its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, which provides a moderating influence that helps produce well-balanced and aromatic wines.
It is particularly renowned for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which thrive in the cool conditions and offer vibrant fruit flavours, nuanced aromas, and a refined acidity. It also produces notable Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah, celebrated for their freshness, minerality, and depth.
