The eaux-de-vie for this Cognac is aged in French oak casks for a minimum of 6 years, the period of time legally required for an XO Cognac; however, Château Montifaud are known for ageing their blends well in excess of the legal minimum resulting in Cognacs that are more complex and flavoursome. Beautifully presented in a decanter style bottle with squat silver gift case you can expect a wonderfully flavoursome XO Cognac, with rich fruity notes of apricot, dried plums, notes of toffee mixed with a note of cocoa. The palate is creamy and luxurious.
