A tribute to more than 2000 years of history and tradition of wine producing on the banks of the River Guadiana. The Romans, who introduced the vine into the DOC Vidigueira region, where Herdade do Sobroso is situated, called it "River of the Ducks" (Rio dos Patos).
An intense and vibrant wine. Fruity, with dark plum and berry flavours dominating on the palate. Pair with roast meats, game and mature cheeses.
A blend of Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet and Syrah, grown on clay-loam soils.
The grapes were handpicked, and winemaking and maturation was carried out in stainless steel to preserve fruitiness and acidity. Herdade do Sobroso practise winemaking, cork tree forestry and other forms of mixed agriculture in the Alentejo region of Portugal.
