Erdevik is located in the western foothills of the Alma Mons (Fruska Gora), surrounded by low hills, plains to the south and at an elevation of 140. Vines were first planted here in AD 276 during the reign of the Emperor Probus.
A deep, rich ruby liquid. The nose is alluring with floral and spice aromas overlaying candied cherry, black raspberry and cola, with a subtle suggestion of vanilla in the background. The palate sustains an array of lively red and dark fruit and floral pastille flavours that gain flesh and weight with aeration. In the finish lingers spiciness and the supple, smooth tannins structure.
