Vachnadziani Winery, established in 1953 and nestled in the historic winemaking region of Kakheti, Georgia, presents a wine crafted from 100% Mtsvane grapes. This indigenous variety, known for its yellow-green berries, is cultivated at 350 metres above sea level in clay-loamy soils, ideal for retaining water during hot summers. The vines are trained using the Vertical Shoot Position method and pruned Double Guyot style, with organic mineral fertilisers enriching the soil.
The winemaking process involves careful sorting of the grapes, fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 16°C, and a two-week vinification period to preserve the fruit’s purity and the Mtsvane’s distinct characteristics.
This refreshing white wine boasts a delicate bouquet of apple and citrus, leading to perfumed notes of peach and ripe pear. It concludes with a mineral and herbal note on the finish, offering a taste that is as rich and dynamic as the land it comes from.
