Description

This is one of the rare occasions where Moschofilero is fermented with wild yeasts. The intense aromas of jasmine, rose and sweet lemon combined with the aromas of butter from the French oak barrels bring out a balanced and harmonized wine with a remarkable acidity. A wine with a medium aftertaste, intensity and complexity. A wine that can accompany and harmonize with dishes of Mediterranean cuisine that have high acidity and delicacies from medium to high intensity, such as grilled or fried fish, white meat, and oily and seafood dishes. It can also be enjoyed as an aperitif. To enjoy this wine at its best, serve at 12 degrees centigrade.

Gaia

Gaia Wines was founded in 1994 in Greece by Yiannis Paraskevopoulos and Leon Karatsalos. The Ammonite, the fossil of the Aegean Sea, embellishes their wines. They installed their wineries in the two most important wine growing regions of Greece: Santorini and Nemea with the aim of making Greek varieties well-known all over the world. The vineyard at Santorini is a unique area known worldwide for its complex ecosystem. The rare white wines made from the indigenous variety of Assyrtiko owe their uniqueness to the volcanic and porous soil of the island. The vineyard at Nemea is semi-mountainous, stony soils at an altitude of 850 meters, growing the variety of Agiorgitiko for red wines with great aging potential.
