Description

This old vine Chenin Blanc is a blend of Reyneke's oldest vineyards, planted in 1974 and 1976. The grapes were hand harvested and cooled overnight before undergoing spontaneous fermentation in 2500L foudré and 500L amphora.

Reyneke Wines

Back when the Reyneke farm first began as ‘Uitzicht’ in1863, there were no chemicals or technological advancements. Just the land and nature. Reyneke continue with these principles with their biodynamic winemaking practices. Overlooking Stellenbosch and False bay, the best sites are planted with vines and the rest of the Reyneke land is pasture and pockets of wilderness. The Reyneke farm is independently certified, which honestly and transparently says that they are practicing what they preach.

Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch, located in South Africa’s Western Cape, is one of the country’s most renowned wine regions, celebrated for its premium wines and prestigious vineyards. It benefits from a Mediterranean climate, with warm days and cool nights, perfect for cultivating high-quality grapes.
The area is particularly known for its robust reds, including Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which exhibit deep fruit flavours and complex, well-structured profiles. The whites, such as Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc, are noted for their crisp acidity and vibrant fruit character.
