Description

The Verdicchio grapes are pressed gently with careful temperature control during the fermentation process. The straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections emphasises the quality of the grapes as well as the delicate techniques used in its production. It is considered an elegant but not simplistic wine, with white peach, elder, hawthorn aromas. A well-structured wine, fresh and sapid at the same time, soft on the palate, has a good alcoholic structure and the characteristic slightly bitter almond aftertaste (typical of this varietal).

"Straw-gold with a green hue, this shows plenty of peach, nectarine and grassy notes. Fresh, vibrant and crisp, it's well balanced with plenty of apples and pears followed by a classic bitter almond finish. Drink 2022 - 2024. 13% ABV."

Sartarelli

Sartarelli is one of the few Italian wineries which focuses exclusively on a single varietal production. Their motto proudly declares ‘In Verdicchio Veritas’: In Verdicchio we trust. Situated on the left of the Esino River, Sartarelli is in the heartlands of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC. A baker by trade, Ferruccio Sartarelli founded the winery in 1972. His daughter Donatella followed in his footsteps. She oversees the company alongside her husband Patrizio and two children Tommaso and Caterina.

Le Marche

Le Marche, located on Italy’s Adriatic coast, is known for its diverse and high-quality wines. The region benefits from a range of climates and soils, from coastal areas to rolling hills, ideal for viticulture. It is particularly celebrated for its whites, such as Verdicchio, which is renowned for its crisp acidity, minerality, and notes of citrus and almond. The area also produces notable reds, including Montepulciano and Sangiovese, which offer rich, full-bodied flavours with good structure and aging potential. With its combination of traditional and modern winemaking techniques, Le Marche provides a distinctive and varied wine experience.
