Bodegas Antonio Candela

Since 1850 the Candela family have been making wine in Yelca. Antonio Candela García was one of the founders of the region that became a DO in 1975. In Yecla, the wine stands out for the native Monastrell variety, which together with other varieties such as Syrah, Merlot and Petit Verdot, and embraced by limestone rock soils and a conducive climate produce sophisticated wines with a lot of personality.

Murcia

Murcia, located in southeastern Spain, is a notable wine region known for its warm climate and diverse wine offerings. It enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters, which is favourable for viticulture.
It is particularly renowned for its robust reds, including those made from Monastrell (Mourvèdre), which produce rich, full-bodied wines with intense fruit flavours and spicy notes. It also produces notable whites, such as those from the Airén and Verdejo grapes, known for their fresh, aromatic profiles and crisp acidity.
