Bodegas Aniello, located in Patagonia’s Río Negro Valley, follows a low-intervention approach to winemaking, focusing on expressing the region’s unique terroir. The winery farms its vineyards sustainably, using minimal chemical inputs and carefully managing water resources to preserve the delicate balance of the cool-climate environment. Grapes are hand-harvested to ensure optimal ripeness and carefully sorted before fermentation.

In the cellar, Bodegas Aniello employs wild yeasts for spontaneous fermentation, enhancing the natural expression of the fruit. Fermentation takes place in small stainless steel tanks or concrete vats, preserving freshness and purity. Some wines undergo partial ageing in neutral oak barrels, adding subtle complexity without overpowering the fruit. Their focus is on crafting elegant, vibrant wines with bright acidity, silky tannins, and a clear sense of place, showcasing Patagonia’s potential for world-class cool-climate wines.
