Agnes Paquet took over three hectares of family vines in Auxey-Duresses in 1999, releasing her first vintage in 2001 and quickly establishing a reputation for refined, expressive Burgundy. This Hautes-Côtes de Beaune comes from two clay-limestone parcels: a younger plot in Meloisey (“La Lié”) and a forty-year-old vineyard in Baubigny (“Sous le Château”). Fermented and aged in 456-litre barrels for ten months, followed by two months in vat, the wine shows bright citrus and lightly cedary aromas, with ripe lime fruit, lively freshness and a subtle creamy texture.
