Description

Louis Roederer created Cristal in 1876 to satisfy the demanding tastes of Tsar Alexander II. The emperor personally requested that the House reserve its best cuvée for him every year. Cristal is an exceptionally balanced and refined champagne with a distinctive length that cannot be replicated. Its silky texture and fruity aromas are complemented by a powerful mineral quality, with notes of white fruit and citrus. Cristal is a wine that can be aged for over 20 years without losing its freshness and character.

Louis Roederer Champagne

When he inherited the Champagne House in 1833, the aesthete and entrepreneur Louis Roederer took a visionary approach to enriching his vines, aiming to master every stage of the wine’s creation. He forged the wine’s unique style, character, and taste. The Louis Roederer House has remained an independent, family-owned company and is now managed by Frédéric Rouzaud, who represents the seventh generation. The cuvées of the House of Louis Roederer are the fruit of patient work with fundamental ingredients.
