Louis Roederer created Cristal in 1876 to satisfy the demanding tastes of Tsar Alexander II. The emperor personally requested that the House reserve its best cuvée for him every year. Cristal is an exceptionally balanced and refined champagne with a distinctive length that cannot be replicated.
