Description

ADN Noir captures the distinctive character of black grapes from the right bank of the Marne Valley, blending equal parts Meunier and Pinot Noir drawn from a perpetual reserve begun in 2015. Like all of Collard-Picard’s wines, it is vinified and aged in large oak barrels without malolactic fermentation to preserve the purity of the fruit and the wine’s natural tension, then rests for at least six years in bottle. It pours a beautiful deep gold, with a nose of ripe fruit, cherry and biscuit. The palate opens fresh and fleshy, clearly showing the imprint of its two black grapes, before a vibrant, tangy finish with intense toasty notes and remarkable freshness.
