Description

Marcillac is a small appellation in the western foothills of the Massif Central. This wine, made from the appellation's signature variety, is full of attractive red fruits and light tannins. It is all fruit, no wood aging, fresh and fruity, ready to drink now. Bright violet color. A fresh, expressive nose with notes of blackcurrant, licorice and violet. The palate confirms these aromas with a supple, lively, gourmet and easily digestible expression. A cuvée of pleasure to be enjoyed slightly chilled, with a wide choice of dishes, such as grilled meats, poultry, blanquette de veau, osso bucco or couscous.

Lionel Osmin & Cie

At the beginning, companions in love with Southwest wines and determined to share their passion... and then a tenuous idea, to create a quality trading house on the theme of Southwest wines like other regions such as Burgundy, the Rhône...

Under Lionel's leadership, "Lionel Osmin et Cie" was born to promote the discovery of the unique grape varieties and terroirs of this region.

The result is a range of wines, with characteristics faithful to what the region is, but designed to share the joy of discovering the grape varieties and appellations that we love so much.

South-West

The South West Region of France, known for its diverse landscapes and rich winemaking heritage, offers a wide variety of distinctive wines. Benefiting from a mix of Atlantic and Mediterranean influences, the region's climate is ideal for viticulture. It is renowned for its robust reds, such as Malbec from Cahors and Tannat from Madiran, which are known for their deep colour, intense flavours, and excellent ageing potential. The area also produces elegant whites from grapes like Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng in Jurançon, known for their aromatic and vibrant profiles. Additionally, Bergerac and Gaillac are notable appellations offering both red and white wines of exceptional quality. With its combination of unique terroirs, indigenous grape varieties, and traditional winemaking methods, the South West Region provides a rich and varied wine experience for enthusiasts seeking something truly special.
