Description

An elegant pinot noir raised limestone and gravel soils of Tattendorf in the sub-wine region of the Thermenregion in Niederosterreich (Lower Austria). This is a small-batch wine made from low-yieldling vines. The bunches are hand-picked and the grapes sorted manually and traditionally vinified in oak barrels for 6-8 months. This yields terrific fruit on the nose and palate. It is elegant and structured and has a lingering finish. A great accompaniment with white and grilled meat and fish, risotto and mild cheese. Goes down a treat slightly chilled in summer.

Winzerhof Landauer Gisperg is located in the heart of Austria, in Tattendorf / Thermenregion / Lower Austria, 25 km south Vienna. Their wines have been certified organic & vegan for over 17 years!

With 30 hectares of vineyards and 20 hectares of elderberry and 1 hectare of black currant, the teamwork of two generations, bring a lot of commitment and passion to their work, focussing on bringing the highest possible quality to bottle maturity.

Their climate shapes the wine style as well as their barren gravelly soils. Low yields bring fully ripened grapes. This line of quality continues into the barrel and then into the bottle. Their finesse, expressive and easy-to-drink red wines as well as their fruity, fresh white wines are proof of this.

Niederosterreich
