Description

Juicy and open, with damson and blackberry over a lick of dried thyme and rosemary, soft tannins and a clean, gently peppery finish. A blend of Monastrell and Tempranillo grown between 750 and 850 metres on poor limestone soils, where the altitude holds the acidity together through very hot summers. Fermented in stainless steel under temperature control and bottled young to keep the fruit fresh.

Bodgeas Piqueras

Founded in 1915 by the current owners’ great-grandfather Luis Piqueras López. Luis started making wine in the small bodega in Los Aljibes, near Almansa, and began to sell it in bulk in the village. Today Bodegas Piqueras is a large family of 19 professionals, each specialised in their own area of work to meticulously oversee the entire production process. The old vines produce grapes high in concentration and quality, perfect for making unique and highly expressive red & white wines.
