Description

Crafted from the same varieties, under the same sky, with the same philosophy: Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia is a proud second wine, which has the ability to foretell the personality of the estate’s flagship wine. Together, the wines provide their own distinctive points of view. The pleasure of sipping Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia evolves over time, adding the charm of maturity to the vigour of youth.

Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia 2022 displays signature elegance and freshness, despite the vintage’s solar character. A deep red-purple hue and ripe black fruit, spices and lightly toasted wood aromas shine through in the wine. A generous and juicy prologue is ensued by rich, firm tannins, while the finish is aromatic, plush and persistent.

The wine already offers a delightful drinking experience and will reach perfect maturity within ten years.

65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc.

The brightness and purity of fruit is so beautiful here, showing flowers and currants. Very aromatic. Lots of finesse and focus on the medium-bodied palate with super-fine tannins and a lovely finish. Lively. Why wait on this?

Ornellaia

Ornellaia lies between Bolgheri and the coast, on land once covered by the Mediterranean Sea, leaving marine fossils, sand, and marl. Higher areas reveal clay and limestone pebbles. Soils are marine, alluvial, and volcanic. The estate's diverse parcels each express a unique identity. Surrounding Mediterranean vegetation enhances its character. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot dominate the reds, with Sauvignon Blanc and others for whites. Southwest-facing vineyards capture the last rays of sun setting over the sea.

Tuscany

Tuscany, one of Italy's most renowned wine regions, is celebrated for its exceptional and diverse wines. Known for its picturesque landscapes and ideal climate, it benefits from a range of terroirs, from rolling hills to coastal areas. The area is particularly famous for its red wines, notably Chianti, made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, which offer bright acidity, cherry flavours, and earthy undertones. It also produces prestigious wines such as Brunello di Montalcino, a full-bodied red with complex flavours and excellent ageing potential, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. For whites, Vernaccia di San Gimignano is noted for its crisp, refreshing character. Tuscany blends traditional winemaking with innovative techniques, offering a rich and varied wine experience.
