Evan Williams

In 1783, Evan Williams opened Kentucky’s First Distillery on the banks of the Ohio River. Many years and barrels later, they still produce Bourbon using the same time-honoured methods.

Kentucky

Kentucky is especially renowned for its Bourbon, a whiskey made primarily from corn and aged in charred oak barrels. The region is home to many of the world's most famous bourbon distilleries, including Blantons and Evan Williams to name a few. These bourbons are celebrated for their rich, complex flavours, often featuring notes of caramel, vanilla, and oak. The state's unique climate, with its hot, humid summers and cold winters, combined with its rich, limestone-filtered water, creates ideal conditions for whiskey production.

Historically, whiskey production in Kentucky dates back to the 18th century, with the spirit becoming a major part of the state's identity in the 19th century. Today, Kentucky remains synonymous with high-quality bourbon and continues to lead the industry with its tradition of craftsmanship and innovation.
