Description

A blend of 20% local Obeïdi, 20% Rolle (Vermentino), 20% Clairette, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, and 20% Chardonnay grown at 1,200 to 1,600 m.
Pale gold. Heady, rich, satisfying nose. Smooth as satin and definitely ready. A well-balanced blend, with a certain floral scent and without a dominant element, that's currently drinking well. It almost tastes like a Viognier.

Massaya

Massaya has come a long way in a short time. From a once derelict estate in the Beqaa Valley, they now produce highly acclaimed wines and Arak- and in a 2014 expansion they opened a beautiful winery and restaurant complex in Mount Lebanon. The name Massaya means twilight in Lebanese, given that at the specific moment the sun sets behind Mount Lebanon the sky of the Beqaa turns dark blue with a hue similar to the blue bottle of arak.

Bekaa Valley

The Bekaa Valley in Lebanon is a prominent and historic wine region known for its unique and high-quality wines. Located between the Anti-Lebanon Mountains and the Mount Lebanon range, the valley benefits from a Mediterranean climate with warm, sunny days and cool nights, ideal for viticulture. It is renowned for its robust reds, particularly from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Cinsault grapes, which produce rich, full-bodied wines with complex flavours and good ageing potential. The area also excels in whites, including Chardonnay and Viognier, known for their aromatic profiles and crisp acidity. With its blend of ancient winemaking traditions and modern techniques, the Bekaa Valley offers a distinctive and compelling wine experience.
