Description

The 100% Sangiovese grapes are early harvested from vineyards in Emilia Romagna. Fermentation is in stainless steel, and the wine is bottled at 11%. Bright, fruity aromas and appealing cherry and damson characters on the palate. This is light and easy drinking with soft tannis and a juicy finish.

A good match for classic Italian tomato-based dishes - pizza and pasta.

Adria Vini

Established in 2003, Adria Vini is a winemaking venture jointly owned by Boutinot and Araldica Castelvero, the leading co-operative in the Monferrato hills of Piemonte. They aim to produce authentic, well-priced still and sparkling wines from local grape varieties.

All aspects of production, from grape selection through to vinification, maturation, blending and bottling are meticulously overseen by Araldica's winemaking team of Claudio Manera and Lella Burdese - assisted by Boutinot's Tony Brown MW. They source from a range of private growers and cooperatives, with whom they have long term relationships, principally in Veneto, Friuli, Lombardy, Sicily, Puglia, Abruzzo and Sardinia.

Emilia-Romagna

Emilia-Romagna, located in northern Italy, is known for its rich winemaking heritage and diverse wine offerings. The region benefits from a range of climates and soils, ideal for producing a variety of styles. It is particularly famous for its sparkling Lambrusco, which can range from dry to sweet and is celebrated for its fruity, vibrant character. The area also produces notable reds such as Sangiovese di Romagna, known for its bright acidity and cherry flavours. On the white wine front, Trebbiano and Albana are key varieties, offering fresh, aromatic profiles. Emilia-Romagna combines traditional winemaking with innovative practices, providing a rich and varied wine experience.
