Wellington

Wellington, located in the heart of South Africa’s Western Cape, is a prime wine-growing region known for its diverse terroir and Mediterranean climate. The region benefits from warm summers and mild winters, with cool nights that allow grapes to ripen slowly, preserving freshness and acidity.

The fertile valley is surrounded by rugged mountains, providing varying altitudes and microclimates ideal for cultivating a wide range of varietals, including Chenin Blanc, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The soil is primarily a mix of alluvial and granite, offering excellent drainage and contributing to the complexity of the wines.
