Description

A lustrous ruby colour. The nose opens with bright red fruit and garrigue hints (thyme, fennel, bay), and the palate is silky with darker fruits and leather spice coming through. Organically-certified and matured in 500L French oak demi-muids.

L'Infernal - a new adventure beginning in 2002 with three winemaker friends: Jean-Michel Gerin, Peter Fischer (Château Revelette, Aix en Provence) and Laurent Combier (Clos des Grives, Crozes Hermitage). In the Spanish region of Priorat (100 km south of Barcelona) the trio purchased an 8 hectare domaine in the foothills of the Monstant mountains.

The traditional grape varieties, Grenache and Carignan, bring the typical expression of these century-old vines . A small percentage of Syrah was also planted. Soils are clay and schist. The vineyards are located between 300 and 500 m altitude, which imparts a cooling influence and elegant into these powerful wines.

Combier Fischer Gerin

Combier Fischer Gerin Cuvée is a collaborative creation by three esteemed Rhône winemakers: Laurent Combier, Pierre Laurent Fischer, and Yves Cuilleron. Located in the Northern Rhône Valley, these producers are renowned for their expertise in Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, bringing together their unique skills and vineyard resources to craft this exceptional cuvée.

The trio shares a commitment to sustainable farming and minimal intervention winemaking, focusing on preserving the authenticity of the terroir. Grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected from vineyards across Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, and southern Rhône. Fermentation uses indigenous yeasts, followed by aging in neutral French oak barrels, allowing the wine to express its vibrant fruit, spicy complexity, and refined structure.

Combier Fischer Gerin represents a passion for Rhône Valley traditions while embracing modern, eco-friendly practices, resulting in wines that are elegant, expressive, and deeply connected to their origins.
