Description

Pure old-vine Cinsault from the Bekaa Valley. Vinified in concrete and matured in large, old-oak barrels to preserve the purity of the fruit. 

The nose has an exotic mix of ripe fig, bright red cherry and plum fruit with star anise spice, it’s lifted and pronounced. The palate has beautifully ripe red fruit characters alongside fig and spice notes. The acidity and tannin perfectly balances the generous flavours and leaves a pure, clean finish.

A versatile food wine that will match with everything from BBQ to grilled lamb chops and mixed mezze dishes with some spice. Serve slightly chilled to bring out the fruit.

Domaine des Tourelles

François-Eugène Brun, who came from France, fell in love with this area of the Bekaa Valley where he set up the first winery in Lebanon in 1868.
Today more than 150 years since it was established, Domaine des Tourelles is run by the next generation of the Issa & Issa el Khoury families – making it the country’s youngest winemaking team running the country’s oldest winery.

Located between the Anti-Lebanon Mountains and the Mount Lebanon range, the valley benefits from a Mediterranean climate with warm, sunny days and cool nights, ideal for viticulture. It is renowned for its robust reds, particularly from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Cinsault grapes, which produce rich, full-bodied wines with complex flavours and good ageing potential. The area also excels in whites, including Chardonnay and Viognier, known for their aromatic profiles and crisp acidity. With its blend of ancient winemaking traditions and modern techniques, the Bekaa Valley offers a distinctive and compelling wine experience.
