Description

It was named after the well-known " Barcarols " summer festival held in Lixouri (an evening feast of August with brightly lit boats sailing in the harbour full of local songs, singers and music). It has complex aromas of citrus, exotic fruits, ruby grapefruit and ripe pear flavours; lush, spicy notes linger on the sculpted finish.

Foivos

Foivos was founded in 1990s on the Greek island of Kefaloniain from the vineyards of one of the oldest wineries in Greece (Mantzavino). It had a long family tradition at Paliki, Kefalonia, producing some of the finest Greek wines. From 1999 onwards, Foivos S.A. the new proprietor of the estate, launched the winery into a new era, developing and taking advantage of the excellent local varieties, furnishing the old winery with modern equipment, and combining traditional wine-making methods with updated technology. Since 2015 Foivos started an innovative method of aging of wines first in amphoras, following the ancient Greek way, and then under water: immersing them in the sea.
