Domaine Gayda

Domaine Gayda was built in 1749 as a Staging Post for travellers where horses were refreshed and changed. Owners Tim Ford and Anthony Record joined forces with winemaker Vincent Chansault in 2004, creating the modern face of wine from the region. Domaine Gayda has a passion for the traditional ‘cépages’ grown across the many diverse soils and climates situated throughout the Languedoc. While the vineyards are firmly rooted in tradition and ‘terroirs’, the winery itself is all about the innovation.

Languedoc-Roussillon

Languedoc-Roussillon, situated in southern France, is renowned for its diverse and high-quality wines. It benefits from a Mediterranean climate, with abundant sunshine, hot summers, and mild winters, ideal for viticulture. Languedoc-Roussillon produces a wide variety of wines, including robust reds from grape varieties like Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, as well as crisp, refreshing whites and rosés. The area is also known for its excellent sparkling wines, particularly Crémant de Limoux. The diverse terroir, ranging from coastal plains to mountainous areas, and a mix of traditional and innovative winemaking techniques result in wines with distinctive character and depth. Languedoc-Roussillon is a must-visit for wine enthusiasts seeking a rich and varied wine experience.
