Description

This wine shows a fresh aromatic profile, with notes of white flowers, thyme & a citric side to it, particularly passion fruit carapace. On the palate smooth & silky notes of guava & pear, along with a well-adjusted acidity. It will age well in bottle.

Produced in Quinta de Santa Teresa, with grapes from the P67 parcel, this Monólogo is made from Avesso, the typical variety of Baião.

Avesso is a high quality white grape variety that leads to full bodied aromatic and flavorful Portuguese white wines. This varietal can result in wines with citrus and tree fruit aromas along with subtle hints of tropical fruit. Avesso has medium-sized bunches with large yellow and green berries. High-yielding and rustic, this grape is planted primarily in Baião, in the vinho verde region of Portugal.

The must ferments in stainless steel vats at low temperature. Stabilization & gentle filtration take place. No animal derivate is used in the process, making it a vegan-friendly wine. Special care was taken in this process, minimizing any impact, with the intention of producing a wine that expresses the particularities of the grapes & the terroir only.

Serving Temperature: 8-10°C

Food Pairings: Perfect with fresh flavours such as Greek salad, white fish with lemon & garlic prawns.

Minho

Minho, located in the northwest of Portugal, is renowned for its unique and refreshing wines, shaped by its temperate maritime climate and lush, green landscape. The region is particularly famous for Vinho Verde, a light, crisp, and slightly effervescent white wine known for its vibrant acidity and fresh citrus flavours. Vinho Verde is made from a variety of indigenous grapes, including Alvarinho, Loureiro, and Trajadura. Minho also produces charming reds and rosés with bright fruit notes and lively character.
