Exciting changes in Paco Garcia! In brief, the new Paco García Range is elaborated according to the new quality of DOCa Rioja geographical indications. Since 2017, Rioja has had wines that focus on their specific origin or terroir. The goal is to valorise a unique origin, to recognise its diversity and to continue setting strict requirements to assure the quality of its wines.

This wine was conceived in honour of the first inhabitants of their home town, Murillo del Río Leza. Made mainly from a 1981 vineyard of Tempranillo variety from Finca La Dehesa and small contributions from Mazuelo from their Finca Santa Ana dating from 1986. In this vintage, 2015, the wine has been ageing in new American barrels.

Bodegas Paco García was founded 2001. Respect for tradition is paramount, allied to a reliance on meticulous winemaking and use of state-of-the-art winemaking technology. Rioja

Famous for its reds, primarily made from Tempranillo, which produce wines known for their depth, rich fruit flavours, and well-integrated oak characteristics, the region also produces notable blends incorporating Garnacha and Graciano. Rioja’s whites, including those from Viura and Malvasía, are celebrated for their freshness, aromatic complexity, and balanced acidity. The region gained prominence in the 19th century with the influence of French winemaking techniques, and today it is recognised for its commitment to both traditional and modern practices.
