Negroamaro, meaning Black and bitter in Italian, is widely planted in Italy's deep south, especially on the heel of Italy in Puglia where it can make seductively heady, age-worthy reds such as Salice Salentino.

Purple colour with dark violet reflections. Intense and persistent aromas of blackcurrant, soft black fruit with hints of tilled earth, thyme and herbs. Deftly structured and full-bodied with a pleasant freshness, smooth tannin, low acid, and a long-lasting finish.

The PietraPura line is born from the collaboration between the Tuscan company Rocca delle Macìe and renowned Apulian companies, united in the common intent to enhance the indigenous grape varieties of Salento and create wines that best express the territory.
