An Evening with Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars

In 1976, a Cabernet Sauvignon from a young Napa Valley winery beat the finest of Bordeaux in a blind tasting in Paris. The Judgement of Paris put California on the world wine map, and the wine that topped the red flight was from Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars. Five decades on, the estate remains one of Napa’s true benchmarks, making wines of poise, precision and remarkable longevity.

Join us for an evening exploring five of their wines, hosted by Californian wine expert Andrew Meltzer. Andrew will guide you through the story of the estate, its celebrated vineyards and what makes these wines so distinctive.

The highlight is a rare side-by-side of Fay Cabernet Sauvignon from 2021 and 2016. Fay was the first vineyard planted to Cabernet in what is now the Stags Leap District, and tasting two vintages together is a chance to see how these wines evolve with age. Few people get the opportunity to try them this way.
