Domaine de La Taille Aux Loups is situated not far from Vouvray. Their 45 hectares of vineyards are planted exclusively with Chenin Blanc. Jacky Blot purchased the Domaine in 1989. He was regarded as one of France's most revered and talented winemakers, a true pioneer of Loire Chenin Blanc.

Green apples dominate the nose, with a tense and elegant aroma. The finish is firm with a hint of smokiness, accompanied by a great juiciness and texture.

Domaine de la Taille

The late Jacky Blot headed both Domaine de La Taille Aux Loups and Domaine de la Butte in the Loire Valley, France. The former he founded in Montlouis in 1988, just across the river from Vouvray. With his white wines, Jacky pioneered a dry, terroir-driven style resulting in some of the most structured, complex, and long-lived examples of Chenin Blanc in the world. With the passing of Jacky in 2023, his son Jean-Phillippe carries on his legacy today.
