The wine is bright straw-yellow shading into pale gold. The characterful nose reveals subtle hints of toastiness and vanilla leading into an impressive palate with well-extracted fruit thanks in part to the late harvested fruit. There are distinct hints of citrus fruit on both nose and palate. The complex well-sustained palate is seamless from entry through to the leisurely finish.
A "meditation wine" to enjoy on its own, or with light starters, baked rice or pasta, shellfish, crustaceans, and white meats; serve at about 16 °C.
Selected late-harvested Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon and Tocai Friualno grapes are harvested from Patrizia Felluga's single vineyard and vinified separately before being carefully blended to produce the final result. The wine is then aged for ten months in French and American oak barrels before bottling.
"Equal parts Chardonnay, Friulano, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc. Barrel-fermented, separately. About 33% new oak. Aged one year in barrel and two years in bottle.
Similar herby citrus fruit aromas as on the straight Zuani Collio, all tangled up with the creamy-mealy oak and subtle oak spice. The oak sticks out a little on the finish even now and I think this will be better in a year's time. Attractively grainy aftertaste."

"Bright, light straw yellow with slightly green nuances. Opens on the nose with notes of mirabelle plum, white melon, some banana, round and interwoven. Blooms beautifully on the palate, lots of fruit present, shows pronounced salty notes in the back, good tension, very long finish."
