Collection: Beaujolais Nouveau 2026
For five vintages now, our Nouveau of choice has been Domaine Rochette’s Beaujolais-Villages. It’s made from hand-picked Gamay and is full of bright red fruit, with the classic hints of banana and kirsch. It’s best served lightly chilled with charcuterie, cheese or roast chicken.

Went in with a vague idea and came out with a Monastrell I had never heard of. Half the price of what I usually buy and better.

Expert advice made all the difference
Needed twelve bottles for a party and no idea where to start. They built the case around what we were eating.

Worth the walk up Highbury Park
I have been coming here for years and they still remember what I drink. Free local delivery keeps the flat stocked.

They actually taste everything
Asked why a bottle was recommended and got a real answer, not a shelf label. That is the whole difference.

What is Beaujolais Nouveau?
Beaujolais Nouveau is a young, light red wine from the Beaujolais region of France, made from Gamay grapes. Released annually on the third Thursday of November, it is celebrated as the first wine of the harvest. Beaujolais Nouveau is known for its fresh, fruity flavours and is intended to be enjoyed soon after release, rather than aged.
What wine goes best with pizza?
For pizza, a versatile wine like Chianti pairs beautifully, complementing the tomato sauce with its acidity and fruity notes. For a more robust choice, try a Zinfandel or Barbera. If you prefer white wine, a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or a fruity Pinot Grigio works well. For pizza with rich toppings like mushrooms or sausage, consider a fuller-bodied red like a Syrah or Merlot.
Do you ship outside the UK?
We regret that we do not deliver internationally at this time. However, you can arrange for your own courier if you require.
Do you use eco-friendly packaging?
Yes, our packaging is fully recyclable and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved. We use biodegradable bubble wrap which is compostable.
How do I match wine with food?
To match wine with food, consider the weight, flavours, and acidity of both. Pair light wines, like Sauvignon Blanc, with lighter dishes such as salads or seafood, and fuller wines, like Cabernet Sauvignon, with rich, hearty dishes like steak. Match the intensity of flavours; for example, pair spicy food with a slightly sweet wine like Riesling. Consider acidity: high-acid wines like Chablis complement acidic foods like tomatoes. Balance sweetness, pairing sweet wines with salty or spicy foods. Regional pairings, such as Italian wine with Italian cuisine, also work well. Experiment to find combinations you enjoy.
