Bessa Valley Enira Reserva 2019

Enira is a distinguished wine produced by Domaine Bessa Valley, located in the Thracian Lowlands of Bulgaria. The estate was established in 2001 under the guidance of Count Stephan von Neipperg, a notable figure in the wine industry who also owns several esteemed Bordeaux properties, including Châteaux Canon La Gaffelière and La Mondotte. Recognising the potential of the Bessa Valley's unique terroir, Count von Neipperg sought to craft exceptional wines that marry Bulgarian tradition with French winemaking expertise.

The vineyard spans approximately 140 hectares, primarily planted with classic French grape varieties such as Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The region's continental climate, characterised by hot summers and cold winters, along with its loamy and clay-stony soils rich in limestone, provides an ideal environment for viticulture. These conditions impart structure, strength, and minerality to the wines, contributing to their distinctive character.
