Bodgeas Piqueras

Founded in 1915 by the current owners’ great-grandfather Luis Piqueras López. Luis started making wine in the small bodega in Los Aljibes, near Almansa, and began to sell it in bulk in the village. Today Bodegas Piqueras is a large family of 19 professionals, each specialised in their own area of work to meticulously oversee the entire production process. The old vines produce grapes high in concentration and quality, perfect for making unique and highly expressive red & white wines.

Castilla-La Mancha

Castilla-La Mancha, located in central Spain, is one of the country’s largest and most significant wine regions, known for its expansive vineyards and diverse wine offerings. The area benefits from a continental climate with hot, dry summers and cold winters, which contributes to the development of rich, flavourful wines.
It is renowned for its robust reds, particularly those made from Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Syrah, which offer bold fruit flavours, depth, and aging potential. It also produces notable whites, including those from Airén and Verdejo, known for their fresh and aromatic profiles.
Historically, Castilla-La Mancha has been a major wine producer since the Middle Ages, with a strong tradition of winemaking that continues today.
