Bodega Urbina has a history that spans 150 years, with winemaking taking place as early as 1870 across, four generations. Urbina, a family-owned, single estate winery, has 75 hectares of vineyards, 65 of Tempranillo, and 10 of Graziano, Mazuelo and Viura.
The bodega is situated in Cuzcurrita de Río Tiron, on the north-western edge of Rioja. It is an area that produces wines with a great capacity for ageing, and is therefore excellent for the production of great wines of character and distinction.
Straw yellow with a steely rim with slightly greenish tones. Nose dominated by notes of citrus, stone fruits, melon, notes of jasmine, fennel and herbs. On the palate it has volume, but still fresh and light, with good acidity. Hints of apricot, melon and grapefruit with a touch of honey. Tasty, balanced and fresh.
