Description

Calle 23 is the brainchild of Sophie Decobecq, a French born biochemist and engineer. Sophie has been living in Mexico for the past 20 years and her love for agave and Tequila never stops growing. It all began in 1999 when Sophie moved to Mexico, where step by step she started to enter the world of Tequila.

Blue agave destined for Calle 23 Tequilas is carefully sourced from Los Altos de Jalisco (The Highlands), the area lying between Tepatitlán and Arandas. Conditions here are ideal for agave: long, hot spells of dry sunshine give way to a generous rainy season, while the mineral-rich soils provide exceptional nourishment. The plants are left to mature slowly, taking between seven and nine years to reach full ripeness before harvest.
