"A well-composed, textural, balanced and layered red with aromas of cherries, strawberries, Mediterranean herbs, baking spices, bark and hints of undergrowth. It's medium-bodied with finely grained tannins and a refined texture. Focused and precise, with a flavourful and elegant finish. Drink or hold."

Located in the heart of the Massif de Fontfroide in Languedoc, a terroir atypical for its freshness, the Domaine d'Aussières has been working for twenty years to develop a vineyard of the future, in the heart of a wild massif. The adventure began with Baron Eric de Rothschild in 1999 and is now continued by Saskia de Rothschild and a talented technical team.
Château d'Aussières, certified organic since the 2022 vintage, is made from vines planted at the top of the sandy sandstone slopes. The wine is mainly a blend of Syrah and Mourvèdre, with some Grenache and Carignan.
